Gloria Rodríguez Gil (Spain 1972 -)
Graduated in Piano and Chamber Music at the High Conservatory of Music in Vigo and in Composition and Orchestration at the High Conservatory of Music in Barcelona expanding her composition studies for two years with Professor José Luis de Delás, and three with Albert Sardá.
She received master classes from composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Toshio Hosokawa, Dieter Mak, Michael Reudenbach, Adriana Hölszky, Beat Furrer, Georges Aperghis, Mark André, Mauricio Sotelo, Jesús Rueda, Salvatore Sciarrino, Joan Guinjoam, Josep Soler, Cruz de Castro, Alfredo Aracil, Salvador Brotons, Consuelo Díez, Gonzalo de Olavide, David Padrós, Cesar Cano, Xavier Darias, Xavier Benguerel, Tomás Marco, Carles Guinovart, Ramón Barce, Eduardo Polonio, Jesús López López, Enric Ferrer, Roberto Sierra, Jose María Laborda , Edson Zampronha, Cristophe Havel and Horacio Vaggione.
She has more than forty compositions premièred around the world; fourteen broadcasted on Radio Nacional de España, Radio Voz and Radio Televisão Portuguesa and by performers such as Grupo Sitges 94, Tactum, Ensemble Siglo XXI, Taller Atlántico Contemporáneo, Século XX, Zorcico Binario, Enxemble Verxel, Trío Kulmann, Cantinela duo, Ludovica Mosca, Diego Fernández Magdaleno, Nicasio Gradaille, David Robles Pacho, Alejo Amoedo, Severino Ortiz, Rasa Biveiviene, Marta Sancho, Uxío Pazos, Fernando Raña, Margarita Escarpa, Ramón Carnota, Bárbara Vignudelli, Marta Fiol, Enrique A. Martínez and Jose Antonio Campo.
She was also included in pre-thesis or master's projects such as those of the guitarist Pilar Rius Fortela (Autonomous University of Madrid), the pianist Alba Real (ESMUC of Barcelona), the clarinetist Alberto Aneiros (Conservatory of Music of A Coruña), or the flutists Maite Aguilar and Marian Bellot (research for the ISEA).
Between 2004 and 2008 she stood out as an organizer of concerts or contemporary music days.
In 2022 her two pieces for guitar were part of the concerts "Portrait of Muller" designed by guitarist Samuel Diz on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Emilia Pardo Bazán, and also recorded within the project of the agency and publishing house Poliedrica (Xacobeo 2021- 22) under the title “Músicas inéditas en casas literarias, and uploaded as such to their Spotify channel.
She is currently part of the Association of Women in Music (AMM), and teaches musical language classes at the Vigo Conservatory of music.
