Ardavan Vossoughi (Iran 1986 -)
Ardavan Vossoughi learned his first Classic Guitar lessons as a teenager where he got acquainted with contemporary music. He continued his education as a Guitar player in Tehran Conservatory.
He then learned Music Composition with Alireza Mashayekhi. In 2016, 2017, 2018, he was accepted in the “Composition” professional course in Chigiana academy in Siena, Italy by Salvatore Sciarrino and in 2019 he received the “Merit Certificate” for this course. He studied contemporary music composition with Giovanni Bonato in Conservatory "Cesare Pollini" of Padua, Italy, and got his Master degree of in November 2019.
He is now attending the course of” alta formazione di Composizione” in Accademia Santa Cecilia by Ivan Fedele in Rome Since October 2019.
Many of his compositions have been performed by different orchestras, ensembles and soloist in Iran and Italy such as Nilper Orchestra, Quartetto Prometeo, Renata Arlotti, Leonora Armellini from which some are also recorded.
In 2018 , his solo piano piece "Hu Ma Ya" won the first prize of composition in PremioAdriatic LNG dà il “la” ai Giovani Musicisti Veneti Competition, in Rovigo, Italy.
In September 2020, the piece “Not to be” was announced as the winner of the Disklavier Composers Contest 2020, the composition competition for Disklavier, in Cremona, Italy. In November 2020, the piece “The White Walls” obtained an Honorable Mention certificate of Alvarez Chamber Orchestra 2020 composition competition.
Ardavan Vossoughi has an Honorable Mention in Da_sh 1st international composition competition 2020/2021 for his piece Hu Ma Ya (2018) for piano solo.
